Government of Western Australia - State Migration Centre

Skilled Regional Sponsored Visa (SRSV)

The Skilled Regional Sponsored Visa provides a pathway to permanent residency. If your visa application is successful you will receive a three year provisional visa and after you have lived in a regional area for two years and worked in a skilled occupation in the regional area for 12 months, you may be eligible for a permanent skilled visa.

To apply for a Skilled Regional Sponsored Visa you require Sponsorship from the Government of Western Australia. Please note that being granted State Sponsorship does not guarantee your visa will be approved.

Eligibility Criteria - Temporary Residency

Regional areas in Western Australia represent the entire State except for the Perth metropolitan area.

You must also meet Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) basic criteria:

Full details of the visa criteria can be found in the DIAC publication Booklet 6: General Skilled Migration.

Please note the Government of Western Australia does not participate in the 'concessional competent' English option.
