The estimated population of the Peel region in 2009 was 104,877 people representing 4.7% of the total Western Australian population.

The city of Mandurah has the largest population outside of Perth with 68,269 and Boddington the smallest population with 1,581 residents.

Indigenous Australians make up 1.6% of the region’s population.
