If you need information on how to have your overseas qualifications and skills recognised in Western Australia, the OQU can help. The OQU assists eligible migrants, who are permanent* or temporary residents of Western Australia, with recognition of their overseas gained qualifications.

*Permanent Residents (including 309, 310, secondary 457, 785, 820 and 826 visa holders).

How to apply for an overseas qualification assessment

If you are an eligible applicant currently residing in Western Australia and would like to apply for an assessment of your overseas gained qualifications, you will need to:

1. Read important information in the frequently asked questions (FAQs) section .
2. Complete part 1 of the online application form to obtain login details.
3. Once you have finished part 1, log in with your new username and password and complete part 2.
4. Send your certified supporting documents to the Overseas Qualifications Unit with the printed and signed online form.
