The Regional Chambers of Commerce & Industry (WA) Inc (RCCIWA) is a new peak organisation representing the regional, rural and remote commercial interests of the nine regions in Western Australia.
Mission statement
"To ensure the economic prosperity of country regions through the promotion of commercial activity, entrepreneurial skills and job creation in regional Western Australia."
The RCCIWA has been formed to ensure greater political recognition of the abilities, needs and aspirations of regional Western Australia. Among its goals, it will:
- work closely with government and other political parties to encourage economic development;
- develop, protect and promote the general interests of trade, commerce and industry in regional Western Australia; and
- promote and assist in the development of high standards of education and training for employment.
The role of the RCCIWA is to help ensure the economic prosperity of country regions through the promotion of commercial activity, entrepreneurial skills and job creation in regional, rural and remote Western Australia.
Its objective is to provide strong and effective representation for commerce and industry outside the Perth metropolitan area and will work closely with other industry organisations. It also works closely with all levels of government, especially the Regional Development Commissions, Small Business Development Corporation, and local Shire Councils.
