Western Australian skilled migration occupation list 2012 - 2013

Applicants who have an occupation identified on the Western Australian skilled migration occupation list (shown below) may be eligible to apply for Western Australian State Sponsorship using the following visas:

Skilled – Nominated (subclass 190) visa or Skilled – Nominated (Provisional) (subclass 489) visa

Please check the status of your occupation on the list below to see if it is currently available for your State Sponsorship application. Occupations may become unavailable without notice.

A limited number of sponsorships are also available for applicants with occupations on Schedule 2 (off list) of the Western Australian skilled migration occupation list.  To determine your eligibility, consult the Criteria for State Sponsorship 2012-13 for additional criteria.

The occupations identified on the list below do not relate to any specific job vacancies, nor represent any guarantee of a job, but rather identify occupations that are considered a priority for the State.

State Sponsorship applicants will have to compete with all potential employees in the Western Australian labour market to secure any available or advertised position.

2. National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (NOOSR) ceased conducting skills assessments for teaching occupations in 2005. Please do not approach NOOSR for a new skills assessment.
